News: Drake & Serena Williams At the Rogers Cup In Toronto (Sparking Relationship Rumors)
Sharapova who? In the land of the Tennis Follies, as they moved to Toronto this week, the big takeaway, for once, was an off-court sighting. Our man Drake. Smiling. Rooting. There to go Penny Lane, if you will, for his friend, Serena Williams.

Faster than you can say Kunis-Timberlake, the blogosphere lit up this week when it was reported that the Forest Hill-bred rapper and the tennis champ were spotted coming and then going at a Florida resort last week. And then, well, followed the nothing-to-hide display at the Rogers Cup here, over at the Rexall Centre, just days ago. While the fact that these two enjoy each other’s company isn’t exactly a new revelation — I reported back in April that they’d been spotted hitting some tennis balls at a private midtown club in Toronto — what it’s fair to surmise is that an even further bond has formed.“She’s his type. Drake has never been about the anorexics,” someone who knows someone told me the other day.
And, possibly, it turns out, it could have all been an agent hook-up. Last fall, Page Six in the New York Post reported that Serena, who previously dated the rapper Common, had her eyes squarely on the happenin’ musician. She’d asked her “people” to
arrange an introduction, it was suggested, with a source going on to tell the paper, “They’re hoping to fix up a meeting when he plays Radio City later this month.”
Drake, who’s five years younger than the racquet virtuoso, has been shy about his love of the older demographic. In one particular interview, he once declared, “I like older women … I love experience and maturity and conversation.”
