CHAMP Mag: We got Royal Prospects rocking with us. What’s up guys?

ROYAL PROSPECTS: Hey what’s up CHAMP Magazine?

CHAMP Mag:  Now to start off the bat, the name Royal Prospects. What’s the story behind that?

ROYAL PROSPECTS: The name we just wanted something that fit us. Royal was the first piece of the name we consider everyone around us to make us better in what we do. This is a family “Royal family”, you need good people supportive people around you to make you successful. Prospects the second part of the name. Growing up a prospect was someone who had this talent and always was getting looked at like being scouted basically; everyone is born with a certain talent you just got to find what it is.

CHAMP Mag: What year was the company found and who are the founders?

Royal Prospects: The company was founded in 08 by Erik Torres,MigueL Garcia,and Thomas Murphy.

CHAMP Mag: What product would you say is probably the most popular out of your line or the one you would say kinda put you guys on the map?

ROYAL PROSPECTS: our most popular design has been our “king oso” shirt we have gotten lots of good feedback from our supporters. It makes us proud that the logo for our brand is well liked.

CHAMP Mag: Now when you guys first started off the whole fashion line, what was the vision you guys had in terms of clothes that you wanted to come out with and be known for?

ROYAL PROSPECTS: The vision that we had starting off was just creating something that we wanted to do, and be happy with the product that were pushing if your not happy with your product and not being real with it then what the purpose.We’ve done some designs with subliminal messages some fun ones and some political ones. As a brand were growing as we move along just getting better with time which means cut n sew pieces,jackets,belts, etc..As for a brand we wanna be known for just being true to ourselves and we do not cater to just one crowd were just getting our vision out there for everyone to see.

CHAMP Mag: Now in terms of designs and artistic direction for the brand who comes up with the ideas?

ROYAL PROSPECTS: The creative director Erik Torres has a vision and is making it come to life with three well talented guys that brainstorm and put together designs we always make sure we put the best design and convert that to a good quality final product .

CHAMP Mag: Now are your designs made in-house or overseas?

ROYAL PROSPECTS: We have control of the brand from the sketches to the packaging of the product. We want to make sure we have no defects we are a 100% made in America product.

CHAMP Mag: Roughly how many pieces would you say you guys produce a year or per season?

ROYAL PROSPECTS: A rough estimate is about 15 + per year, that will all change especially with the goals we are trying to hit this year.

CHAMP Mag: Who are some celebs that have been caught rockin’ some of your stuff?

ROYAL PROSPECTS: We have had a couple of celebrities rock our stuff Royce da 5’9, UNI which we did a collabo’ we also have gotten some feed back from a couple of artist so you might see people wearing our clothing on stage.

CHAMP Mag: In the game now, who do you think has their fashion swag up that where you’re a fan of their particular style?

ROYAL PROSPECTS: We like and love a lot of stuff out there especially the brands that have a high stuff we love to see all these designers come up with fresh stuff because it also feeds us motivation to get better with our product.

CHAMP Mag: Are there any other areas of the fashion world you guys wanna explore or already in the midst of exploring at the moment?

ROYAL PROSPECTS: We would love to visit the east coast and maybe some other countries from Paris to Tokyo.
