CHAMP:  What’s goodie Kent Money?

Kent Money: Man living blessed staying positive what can be bad.

CHAMP: I got introduced to you off the “I’m Alright” joint. It’s a passionate joint I must say. How long have you been making music for?

Kent Money: I’ve been making music seriously for about 4 years now but I’ve always had this raw passion for it.

CHAMP: Where are you hailing from?

Kent Money: I’m originally from Norfolk Virginia but I reside in the Inland Empire right now.

CHAMP:  Now the name Kent Money.  Where does that come from?

Kent Money: Growing up I was accustomed to good meaning money from playing sports to a outfit, to just general things in life. Everything that was positive was money and people started calling me that like “Yo that’s “Money” right there”, because I was good at a lot of things I did so you know it stuck with me I went through a couple stage names though from TK to K Money lol, but Kent Money just stuck no matter how 80s people may view It.

CHAMP:  Now are you signed or unsigned?

Kent Money: I’m actually unsigned at the moment. I’m just doing what I can as well as my surf club brothers to bring great music back to the people.

CHAMP: Now the concept on the “I’m Alright” joint. Is that a Kent Money real life situation or just a scenario you wanted to dwell on?

Kent Money: The concept behind that song was actually real life. I was in a relationship where nothing I did was ever enough, and patience wasn’t practiced and I also sit back and watch actions a lot and it seems like every woman I encounter wants the baller, get him, and realize damn I got the wrong guy I’m just another option versus going with a guy who has nothing but respect for them; not all women but some that’s what the second verse is mainly about the first verse is just me being selfish time wise gaining everything materialistic but losing everything  necessary.

CHAMP: Do we got a vid for that coming out?

Kent Money: There may be as the song gets out there more if the people request a video it would only be right.

CHAMP:  Who produced that joint?

Kent Money: Hit-boy produced that track.

CHAMP: Who are some artists you’ve been compared to far?

Kent Money: Honestly I’ve heard it all. People used to say I sounded like Drake not lyric-wise but tone wise and then people say I remind them of a young Kanye. I’ve heard Jay-z, Black Rob, Biggie, somebody even said Pac.I never pay all that mind though I want to be the first me even though being mentioned in that company is a positive, I’d rather build my own legacy rather than add on to another’s.

CHAMP: What projects are you currently working on?

Kent Money: At the moment I’ve just been writing not working on anything my music is my life so I rap according to what I experience. I have to live to make music that way it’s never the same material.

CHAMP: What else can we expect from Kent Money?

Kent Money: You can expect many more projects with the same passion as ‘Becoming’, you can expect me to give you everything raw never sugar coated, and you can also expect  all my music to premiere on www.itsthesurfclub.com just expect me every time I’ll never follow a trend so expect originality and just me being genuine.
