CHAMP MAGAZINE
DJ 4Five

DJ 4Five: We got the homie Torch from Triple c’s what’s poppin’ homie?

TORCH: God is good, new albums in stores right now make sure you go pick that up: Triple C’s Custom Cars & Cycles.

DJ 4Five: The album is out, it’s the fourth quarter, how do you guys feel about the position you are in right now?

TORCH: We feel great, we have soaked up the game for so long, standing behind one of the best artist in hip-hop today, and now it is time for us to step to the forefront. God is good like I said before, we are in a great position.

DJ 4Five: No doubt. Now you guys were out in LA shooting the “Gangsta Shit” joint with The Game, how was that vibe out there?

TORCH: It was a blessing to be there. We were on Crenshaw. Shout out to the whole Nickerson Gardens; came out and showed love. Shout out to Mack-10, The Game, it was a beautiful thing. We were in the middle of the hood putting it in for that “Gangsta Shit” video it’s going down in a major way. Also look out for the “Chicken Talkn” video, this shit’s a movie! We were riding down Sunset in the old school Cadi. I’m just happy to be a part of something so big.

DJ 4Five: That’s what’s up. Now that video and “Hustla” I believe is next up, but the joint I am anticipating is that “Diamonds and Maybachs PT 2″ video. Is there going to be a passionate motion picture video for that?

TORCH: Of course there is. Be on the lookout for that video coming real soon. We shot that video in London at Buckingham Palace and it’s a major thing. We’re doing stuff that has never been done before. You all can look out for that soon, Buckingham Palace chilling on the Queen’s front steps, blowing it down big) (laughing). “Diamonds and Maybachs” coming soon look out for that.

DJ 4Five: That’s what’s up. Now a lot of Triple C’s fans are still wondering why that “Road Kill” joint was not on the album. A few people knew it wasn’t going to be on the album, but why wasn’t it on it?

TORCH:  Man I’m still wondering why that joint wasn’t on the album. To be honest that’s one of my favorite joints but it didn’t make the cut, but you got the album so you know we have tons of other joints that are fly, hopefully it can resurface somewhere else but I was disappointed like everybody else that it didn’t make the album.

DJ 4Five: No doubt.  Now you guys were taking shots at 50 on that track, and upon the release of the album 50 was taking some shots at you guys claiming you guys would sell less than 10,000 the first week. What do you predict his album will sell?

TORCH: We’re not worried about “Woodface” at all, as a matter of fact I applaud him, I want him to keep talking about Triple C because, anything that we sold will continue to doubled, so please with all due respect keep talking. Everybody knows you don’t talk about shit you aren’t worried about. No matter what, Triple C is going to keep making music for the fans.

DJ 4Five: No doubt. How much do you think he is going to sell first week?

TORCH: I don’t know, but he leaked his own album as an excuse. “Oh the album leaked”, naw man our album leaked too, every album leaks, it’s just if your shit is hot or not and right now he’s not hot. (Mocking 50 Cent) “Have a baby by me baby, have a baby by me baby” that shit is wack he ain’t making no noise out in the streets right now so he’s doing anything. I never thought the day would come where a nigga talking about me would keep him relevant. God is good.

DJ 4Five:  No doubt. Now the album of course is Custom Cars & Cycles. I remember seeing on cribs the custom Maybach Escalade Ross had. What is the update on custom whips you guys got? And what cycles do you guys got?

TORCH: I have the customized Suburban with all types of stuff in there. I also stunt a “Vette” and Cadillac truck. We’re doing modest things on this end, I keep it real simple. I’m a simple man with great taste.

DJ 4Five: That’s what’s up. Now based on your videos I have to say you guys have the most fun. We definitely have to fly out wherever you guys are to do a “day in the life of” Triple C’s. What do you think about that?

TORCH: I would love it, definitely fly in. We just finished doing 48 hours with allhiphop.com so we love that type of shit. Anytime people see what the fuck we do they never want to leave (laughing), they really don’t understand how we don’t sleep. There’s just so much going on every day. You’re talking about four legitimate solo artists trying to fit each of their individual schedules together. Not to mention the shit that we have going on together; in addition to running our own personal business ventures. I have my own my own record and artist management companies, shout out to Specialyst Entertainment and Amazing Models. I have so much shit going on, I really don’t have time to just chill.

DJ 4Five:  Are we going to see a solo album from Torch?

TORCH: Believe that! You’re going to see a solo project from every person in Triple C’s. There’s already major hype about everybody in the group doing their own thing; I’m the “tough guy”. Do I think I’m tough? You mother fucking right. You are going to definitely see a Head Busta solo album, be on the lookout for that real soon.

DJ 4Five: That’s what’s up. Now Rick Ross is coming out next, who is coming out after that?

TORCH: It can go anyway it’s all about what the fans want. You can expect Gun Play, you can expect Torch coming out right after that and you can definitely expect another Triple C’s album coming out right after that. It’s all about what the people want, and right now it seems like they want it so we’re going to keep supplying that good music. Plus we all have different markets so don’t be surprised if we all come out at the same god damn time. (Laughing)

DJ 4Five: What can we expect from Torch going into 2010?

TORCH: Just more consistency, more sharpness and growth. I’m an artist. If I always stay true to what I do and at the same time meet the needs of my fans I can’t go wrong. Every time I open my mouth on a track it’s going to be some hot shit, that straight fire.

TORCH: DJ 4Five it was a pleasure sitting with you my dude, tell my nigga Hollywood I said what’s good. Make sure you check out torchisny.com and shout out to everyone at Specialyst Ent, Leira PR and Maybach Music. We here now!
